Position Purpose
As a direct report to the Chief Development Officer (CDO), Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA), is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Director, Corporate Development. In this role, the Senior Director will be responsible for leading the new partnership pipeline with a focus on corporations and brands with fundraising opportunities through cause marketing, grants, or sponsorship, with priority focus on unrestricted income opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in achieving year-over-year new business growth for a portfolio exceeding $15M, managing a pipeline of active prospects with strong moves-management success, personally achieving annual new revenues of $3.5M or more in unrestricted funding, and event related sponsorship and programmatic grants.
The Senior Director must bring experience collaborating with an account activation and management team for partnership success and engagement, and cross functional collaboration with key departments including marketing, communications, programs, and the full development team. We are seeking a self-motivated results-driven professional who operates with a passion for revenue achievement and can meet the fast-paced environment of an organization with ease.
Travel: Approximately 30-35%
Location: Remote, based in the Continental United States, CST or EST near major airport.

Education & Related Work Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field OR equivalent relevant business experience.
Years and Scope of Related Work Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated successful resource development, sales, and/or revenue generation experience. Experience working within a federated model or similar decentralized organizational structure. Solid understanding of nonprofit operations and corporate social responsibility practices. Successful track record with planning, managing, and initiating corporate relationships in the nonprofit sector, with previous accountability for a portfolio of $2 million or more.
Skills and Knowledge: Proven experience in account management and NEW business development, particularly in the nonprofit sector; Demonstrated success in managing large portfolios and achieving revenue targets; Strong leadership skills with experience in remote team management; Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders; Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective business development plans; Familiarity with cause marketing, grants, and sponsorship landscape; Leadership in a highly matrixed sales organization; Advanced problem-solving and communication; Highly organized in approach, with ability to set and manage priorities; Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, timelines and budgets within fast-paced environment while maintaining a commitment to high quality, detail-oriented work; Advanced cross functional project management skills with the ability to motivate and galvanize teams toward a common goal; Advanced level verbal and written communication skills; Advanced interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
