The Opportunity

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (“BBBSA”) is hiring a Director Integrated Marketing. The Director of Integrated Marketing will deliver a consistent, seamless, audience-centric content experience across all channels through efforts aligned with BBBSA’s priorities aimed to advance the organization’s brand and establish BBBSA as the leading J.E.D.I. (justice, equity, diversity, inclusion) focused youth empowerment organization. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Director of Integrated Marketing will regularly collaborate with key stakeholders across BBBSA’s National Office departments and federation of 230+ local agencies across the United States to determine and understand organizational priorities and needs.

This position will work in a remote capacity.

Candidate Profile

The Director of Integrated Marketing will provide marketing guidance and strategy, manage the development and maintenance of BBBSA’s integrated marketing and communications calendar, facilitate campaign engagement and reporting while optimizing and nurturing the organization’s ecosystem of paid media, in-kind media and owned marketing channels, such as social media and email. The Director must demonstrate proven success driving cross-functional teams towards completion of a project, display a highly organized approach to managing priorities, and superior team leadership aptitude highlighting a strong track record of developing and mentoring teams and individuals.

The Director is required to have Bachelor’s degree, with a strong preference in Marketing, Communications or Journalism. The Director will also be required to demonstrate a minimum of 7 years of relevant marketing experience, preferably in an integrated marketing role.

The Director of Integrated Marketing essential roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Organizational Leadership

  • In partnership with BBBSA communications and resource development departments, lead development and management of national integrated marketing calendar – including story and content roadmap - that drives our business and marketing priorities and helps deepen audience acquisition and engagement.
  • Leverage and influence BBBSA’s digital roadmap in partnership with our Director of Digital Experience and IT to help drive initiatives.
  • Define lead generation growth strategy, including scaling contact acquisition and lifecycle marketing to drive new engagement data and reporting opportunities.
  • Launch and operationalize the national Big Brothers Big Sisters alumni and champions strategy.
  • Share vision, plan, and results across BBBSA National Office departments and Federation of local agencies by tracking progress and providing frequent and ongoing updates.
  • Design and create toolkits to be used for awareness-building of marketing strategy and objectives.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications agency partners.
  • Liaison for Nationwide Leadership Council Marketing Committee and Marketing advisory councils.
  • Present at regional/national conferences on marketing-focused material as needed.
  • Be an ambassador for the brand throughout the Federation, ensuring the organization maintains brand alignment, collaborating closely with local agency teams.

Ownership of marketing budget and KPIs

  • Establish the annual Integrated Marketing budget; Manage marketing budgets to effectively engage with priority audiences and drive actions, while caring for our business.
  • Regularly complete budget projections, review all monthly, quarterly, annual reports and providing details on variances observed.
  • Lead determination of marketing KPIs, and oversee strategy implementation, project management, tracking, measurement, and debriefs.
  • Create a test & learn pipeline in partnership with Director of Digital Experience to deliver greater personalization across web and other channels as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates strong dedication to being a good steward of financial resources.

Technical Assistance

· Ensures the deliverables of marketing grant funds are within the scope (budget, capacity, and reports) and guidance of grant award.

· Develops strategies for community engagement and incorporates equity centric frameworks and best practices into innovative and impactful programming.

· Alongside other key stakeholders, reviews marketing and messaging of various collateral materials with key stakeholders in Communications, Resource Development, JEDI and Child Safety & Youth Protection.

· Identify systems and processes to better support the federation to expand brand and marketing work and create and foster collaboration with partners.

· Ensure ongoing close communications amongst federation and the national office, and develop ways to share information with agencies in digestible, organized, and regular cadence.

· National Office liaison the Nationwide Leadership Council Marketing Committee.

· Plans and develops community participation processes to ensure representation and input from priority population groups and priority organizations/systems.
