Summary of Opportunity:
As a direct report to the Chief Development Officer, the Vice President, New Business Development & Corporate Alliances will be a valued member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) Resource Development team, in driving revenue to support our mission.
The Vice President, New Business Development & Corporate Alliances will have primary responsibility for identifying and securing financial resources from major corporations Nationwide in support of BBBSA programming, ongoing operations, and strategic growth initiatives. Our nationwide footprint of 230+ agencies in all 50 states, offers a multitude of fundable programs, activities and engagements for the top brand and corporations of our nation. In this role, the Vice President will be a leading voice and representative for the full network and our powerful mentoring movement.
This role is responsible for the full cycle of a results-driven pipeline development and management portfolio with a primary focus on sourcing and sustaining new corporate relationships (in the six and seven-figure level and above).
The VP in this role will seek partnerships that align with the organization's values and principles. This is an ideal opportunity for a relationship-oriented fundraiser with a track record in new business development and lead generation to help an organization dramatically scale its impact.
Serving as a leader for the mission with accountability for network wide partnership development that embodies our JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) values, celebrating youth empowerment and fueling our strategic growth plan. As a leader for the mission, the VP in this role will actively participate in overall Resource Development strategic initiatives and activation, with shared responsibility for, and contribute significantly to the total Revenue and Operating goals of the organization.
Travel: Approx. 50%
Location: Full-time Remote, U.S.; Must be Major Airport Centric

Education & Related Work Experience
Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree in nonprofit management, business, marketing, communications (or related education) OR equivalent relevant experience.
Years of Related Work Experience: A minimum of 8 years of demonstrated successful resource development support, sales and/or account management experience and successful partnership close rate of $4,000,000+ annually; History of success with planning, managing, and initiating corporate relationships with the nonprofit sector and success in six-figure partnership support and execution preferred
Skills and Knowledge: Ability to manage complex, sensitive matters with high attention to detail, excellent people, team, verbal and written communication skills; highly organized in approach with ability to set and manage priorities; ability to work independently in achieving results consistently on deadline
